Crafted interior with wood, textile and ceramic surfaces

Studio, materials, shipping

A small interiors shop that specifies rooms the way a studio would.

Homelivingradar is a Home & Living shop. We write materials as they are, finish in small batches, and list finished dimensions on every piece.

Workshop-finished living room with natural materials

Artisanal craftsmanship

Finishing that still shows a hand.

Stoneware is glazed in small kiln loads. Wool is hand-loomed in a low pile meant for daily rooms. Rattan is wrapped on a frame rather than stamped as a printed pattern. We accept slight variation in glaze, weave and wood grain because that is how workshop pieces behave once they leave a bench.

Each listing names the construction — hidden shelf brackets, blackout curtain linings, feather-blend cushion inserts — so the finish is not a surprise after the carton is opened.

Material ethics

Fibers and clays named without a costume.

We list cotton, wool, linen, seagrass, oak, ash, mango wood, rattan and stoneware when those are the materials in the piece. We do not relabel them as anonymous “heritage blends.” Where a finish is a brass tone on metal rather than solid brass, the listing says so.

Textiles are chosen for washable or spot-cleanable use in lived rooms. Lighting uses linen or frosted glass to keep glare down. Storage linings are cotton so baskets and boxes can hold blankets without scratching a floor finish.

How the desk works

Three notes we keep beside every order.

Specify first

Dimensions and materials sit on the product page so a room plan can be checked before anything is packed.

Retail policy

Shipping, returns and how we pack.

Shipping

Orders leave the studio in 3–6 business days. Complimentary shipping applies at $75 and above within the contiguous United States. Alaska and Hawaii are quoted by the desk. A $8.50 flat rate applies below the threshold.

Returns

Unused pieces in original packing may be returned within 30 days. Made-to-measure curtain panels that have been hung are not returnable. Write to the desk for a return label before a carton is sent back.

Made in small batches

Pieces are finished in workshop runs, not assembled from licensed collections. Slight variation in glaze, weave and wood grain is expected — that is how workshop pieces behave once they leave a bench.
